Digital entertainment company Rusk Media has raised about $10.6 million (Rs 100 crore) in a pre-Series C funding round led by Nazara Technologies Limited.

The round also saw participation from InfoEdge Ventures, IvyCap Ventures, and a consortium led by Audacity VC, the company said in a statement.

According to Rusk Media, the funds will be used to expand its content and technology capabilities, and to scale its existing shows, including talent reality franchise I-Popstar and dating format Engaged, into additional languages and overseas markets.

The company added that a part of the proceeds will go towards growing its mobile-focused platform Alright! TV, as well as developing new sports and audio-led content formats aimed at Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences.

The company said it also plans to use the capital to develop proprietary artificial intelligence tools aimed at lowering production costs and improving content output efficiency. These tools are also expected to support scalable brand solutions and enable additional monetisation features within the Alright! TV ecosystem.
