Green SM names new CEO as EV mobility firm pushes global expansion
Vietnamese electric mobility platform Green SM has appointed Nguyen Quoc Tuan as its legal representative and chief executive officer, replacing Nguyen Van Thanh, according to a filing on the National Business Registration Portal on June 16, cited by local media.
Tuan takes over from Thanh, who was appointed CEO shortly after the company was founded in 2023.
The appointment comes just months after Green SM reshuffled its board leadership. In March, Pham Thu Huong, vice chairwoman of Vingroup and wife of Vingroup’s chairman Pham Nhat Vuong, was named chairwoman of Green SM, replacing founding chairman Phan Thanh Long.
Long had served as chairman since Green SM’s establishment in March 2023.
The leadership changes come as the company undergoes a broad restructuring that has included capital increases, business consolidation, and international expansion.
Green SM currently operates in Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, the Philippines, and India.
The company also completed the merger of Green Future, a vehicle rental and used electric vehicle trading business, in February. Established in 2024, Green Future operates in self-drive rentals, chauffeur-driven services and the resale of pre-owned VinFast electric vehicles.
Earlier this month, Green SM launched its Green SM Limo service in New Delhi, marking its entry into India, one of the world’s largest mobility markets. In the Philippines, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with 75 local transport operators and cooperatives in May.
Partners Group Asia real estate head to leave firm
Partners Group’s Asia real estate chief Joe Chien is said to leave the firm later this year, according to a report by PERE.
Joe Chien, managing director and regional head of private real estate Asia, will leave the firm in November 2026 after nearly five years in the role, PERE reported. Chien joined Partners Group in 2021 from Blackstone, where he spent close to seven years, and previously worked at GreenOak Real Estate.
According to the report, Chien will be succeeded by Euan Kennedy, a member of management for real estate Asia at Partners Group.
Based in Singapore, Kennedy will oversee the existing portfolio and lead new investments while managing a nine-member team in the city-state. He has spent more than eight years at the firm and previously held roles at Deutsche Bank and JLL.
Harrison Street appoints MD for Investor Solutions Group
Global alternative investment manager Harrison Street Asset Management (HSAM) has appointed Michael Humphrey as managing director and co-head of Asia for its Investor Solutions Group, while also planning to open a Singapore office as part of its regional expansion strategy.
Humphrey, who joins from StepStone Group, where he served as managing director and head of Asia, will co-lead HSAM’s investor engagement and capital formation efforts across the region alongside Injong Kim, who oversees Korea.
Based in Singapore, Humphrey will focus on other key Asia-Pacific markets.
The Singapore office will become HSAM’s third location in Asia, complementing its existing offices in Tokyo and Seoul.
The appointment comes as HSAM seeks to deepen relationships with institutional investors across Asia and expand capital raising for its infrastructure, real estate and credit strategies.
