People Digest: Anand Kripalu joins Kedaara; Neo Alternative hires ex-Walton Street team

Kedaara Capital has appointed Anand Kripalu as Operating Partner, strengthening its leadership bench and deepening sector expertise in consumer investments, per a company statement. In another development, Neo Alternative Asset Managers has roped in the former senior leadership team from Walton Street India (WSI).

Kedaara Capital has appointed Anand Kripalu as Operating Partner, strengthening its leadership bench and deepening sector expertise in consumer investments, per a company statement.

Kripalu brings nearly four decades of experience across leading global consumer and FMCG companies. He most recently served as Managing Director and Global CEO of EPL Limited. Before this, he was MD & CEO of Diageo India and a member of Diageo’s Global Executive team. He also served as Chairman of the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

In his new role, Kripalu will work closely with Kedaara’s consumer team and advise on its existing and new investments in the sector.

Neo Alternative ropes in ex-Walton Street India team

Neo Alternative Asset Managers (formerly Neo Asset Management) has onboarded a senior leadership team from Walton Street India (WSI), including Kaushik Desai, Vinit Prabhugaonkar, and Vimal Jangla, to bolster its real estate investment platform.

The trio, who have worked together for over 17 years, bring more than two decades of experience across real estate investing, asset management, and structured financing. Collectively, they have managed and advised on over $650 million across more than 100 projects, delivering risk-adjusted returns across market cycles, Neo Alternative said in a statement.

At Neo, the team will focus on identifying and executing structured and opportunistic real estate investments across key segments, including residential, industrial and logistics, commercial ad special situations.
